Project Location: Chadwick End, Warwickshire
Originally a farmhouse, the Grade II Listed dwelling has been within the client's family for over 150 years. The extension was designed to preserve the Drawing Room's identity whilst providing a larger room with the additional floor space when entertaining family and friends. Constructed in large seasoned oak framed sections, the masonry walls between are in a cavity construction and are flush with the oak both externally and internally. Full height glazing frames the garden views. The extension has a wood boiler underfloor heating system, which is supplemented by a cassette wood burner in the room itself for a cosy feel.
